What is a commercial photographer?
A commercial photographer is one that creates photography that can be used for business, sales, advertising or generally to make money. Often a commercial photographer is hired by a business or advertising agency to create content for a specific campaign, project or platform.
In our case, we have a range of photography services, like lifestyle, fitness, interior/exterior design and food photography that tell the story of brands and help businesses succeed. Our clients have used our content on websites, print advertisements, email marketing campaigns, social media and more.

What commercial photography services do you provide?
Bloodgood Foto provides a variety of services: portrait and lifestyle, interior and exterior design, fitness facilities, and food photography. Most of our photo shoots happen at different locations, but we also offer in-studio sessions.
We create photography for online and print campaigns, social media content, general branding or any other commercial needs you may have.
Do you offer headshots, professional portraits and general portrait packages?
Yes, we offer a variety of portrait services. Please contact us and so we can learn about your project needs and we will create a customized quote for you.
Do you offer video services?
Yes, we also create videos. We specialize in video interviews and 1 to 2-minute video reels that talk about the background of a business. Everything we do is about telling the story of brands, and videos help accomplish that. You can see some video samples here.
What is your process for scheduling a photo shoot?
We start with a phone call to understand your creative needs and make sure that we will create photography that meets your brand guidelines. Once you approve the final estimate and contract, we discuss production needs for the photo shoot and establish a shot list with you. From there, the fun part starts, and we get to start creating content at the photo shoot.
How soon do you deliver images?
After the photo shoot is over, we usually deliver files within two weeks. If you need images delivered sooner than that, just let us know. We are here to make your job as easy as possible.
What is a commercial photography image license?
A photographer owns the copyright to a photo once they take the image and it becomes their legal property. If a photographer is commissioned by a client to create photography, the photographer still owns the copyright to the images. The photographer drafts an agreement with the client for usage to the images, which is called a “usage license.”
Our usage license is different for each client and we create it based on the specific needs of the project. If the client uses the images outside of the specified terms, it could be considered copyright infringement. In special cases, our clients may ask to own the copyright, in which case, we can create a transfer of copyright agreement.
Am I allowed to publish and use the images anywhere?
For each project, we create a usage license which outlines where you can use the images. Our standard license allows you to use the images for most print and digital platforms, but we can customize the license to meet your needs.
How do you charge for commercial photography services?
We put together a detailed quote based on the time it takes to complete the project, the expenses necessary for the photo shoot and how you plan to use the images. There is a lot of time that goes into creating a successful photo shoot like the pre-production planning, shopping for necessary props, setting up equipment and retouching the files to make them ready for you to share.
We will work with you to come up with a project that fits into your budget.
Is there sales tax?
Yes, there is an additional 5.6% sales tax added onto photography services.
Are you able to travel for photo shoots outside of Milwaukee?
Absolutely! As much as we love the Milwaukee scenery, we are more than happy to travel based on your needs.
